An opportunity to extend the architectural gestures into expressions of tamed and untamed landscapes.
Establishing a datum to begin the interplay of landscape and the built.
Extending the court outwards to express like an outdoor room.
The datum expressing itself as a porous grid weaving the landscape with the built.
The larger landscape is predominantly composed of the mosaics of farmlands and development plots. Given the setting, the land seems expansive and counterbalanced by proposed houses that are taking shape.
The envisioned house places itself like a pavilion, a series of open and closed pockets unfolding and extending towards the sides from the central core. The proposed landscape responds to the conditions of the built allowing the built mass to merge with the larger setting.
Planting Strategy
The envisioned planting explores a mix planting palette composed of local grass species and shrub varieties.
